THE EMPRESS' NEW CLOTHES

“Through a refined and original clowning — perhaps unique in Italian children’s theatre — she delivers every nuance of the character with no words, in an original way tinged with cheerful poetry.”

Mario Bianchi

THE WHITE, THE BLUE AND THE RED

The White, the Blue and the Red are three lively clownesses: The White, by transforming and coloring herself, tells the story of the Blue whose perfectly ordered life is disrupted by the arrival of the uncontainable and playful Red...

I am a kindergarten teacher... as soon as you stepped on stage I thought: this one is truly great! You were absolutely amazing.
Hi, I'm Miriam's mum. Miri wanted to tell you that you were wonderful and we will come to see you again in Genova or Savona.
Hi Alice! Teresa says it's the most beautiful show she has ever seen in her young life. Thank you for the experience.
Hello. We watched the show yesterday afternoon at the Buratto theatre with two 11-year-old girls. As a mother and adult I appreciated the performance very much. The scenic body language conveyed the story and its nuances far better than many words could. The girls sensed the black mirror in the looking glass but kept asking for confirmation of what they seemed to see and understand, which shows how striking the two contrasting realities were. The ending left us with a wonderful feeling of redemption, delivered lightly. Thank you. P.S.: now it's time for underpants party!!
I wanted to say that I loved the way it was performed: because it teaches us not to listen to other people's judgements, and nowadays that is talked about a lot — I too have often felt left out, so it was as if I were part of the show.

Good evening Alice, I am a preschool teacher who attended your performance this morning at the Il Piccolo theater in Forlì. I complimented you in person: holding the stage alone for the entire performance is no small feat… My 5-year-old children enjoyed it and were able to follow the storyline despite the communicative language being unusual. Watching your performance made me realize how much, in school, oral/verbal narration tends to prevail over sound-based language…
Dearest Alice, We are the Maria Bambina preschool in Villanova di Forlì. We attended the performance “The White, the Blue and the Red” on March 21 at the Il Piccolo Theater, and this is our contribution that we would like to give you as a gift. The drawings were made by some of the children aged 3, 4, and 5 who were present at the theater.
Thank you for making us smile, and we hope to meet you again in the coming years.
Tania
I AM DIFFERENT FROM YOU Being different from you is not important, because diversity is the most beautiful thing there is. Being different from you is not important because you and I will always be friends, because everyone is different from you and me.
